Frequently asked questions

How much does dog daycare cost in Denver?

A full day of daycare usually runs $40 to $55, with multi-day packages bringing the per-day cost to $32 to $45. Overnight boarding usually runs $55 to $85 per night. Puppy daycare runs $45 to $60.

What vaccinations do you require?

Current Rabies, DHPP (distemper combo), and Bordetella (kennel cough). Many facilities also require Canine Influenza in Denver because of the regional outbreaks; we strongly recommend it. We will request your vet records before the first visit, and your vet can email them to us directly.

Is my dog a good fit for daycare?

Most healthy, socialized dogs over 4 months old do well in group daycare. Dogs that are reactive to other dogs, intact males with aggression history, or older dogs that prefer to nap rather than play are usually not a fit for group, and we honestly redirect to a one-on-one alternative. The free temperament assessment tells us in 30-60 minutes.

What does a day at daycare actually look like?

Drop-off opens at 6:30am. Dogs are checked in, vetted by sight for any concerns, and matched to their size-and-temperament-appropriate group. Mornings are active group play, mid-day is rest in quiet spaces with optional one-on-one cuddle time, afternoons are another active play session, and pickup runs from 4pm to 7pm. Snowstorm days move play indoors.

Do you have webcams?

Yes - members have a webcam app login and can check on their dog throughout the day. Webcams are not a substitute for trained staff watching the dogs, but they help anxious pet parents and they let us show you how the day went when you pick up.

What is your group size and staff-to-dog ratio?

We hold groups to about 15 dogs each, with a minimum 1-to-15 staff ratio on active group play and 1-to-20 during rest. Trained staff watch the dogs continuously and rotate breaks so there is always coverage. Smaller breeds get their own group separate from large-and-medium dogs.

Can my puppy start daycare?

Yes once initial vaccinations are in - usually between 12 and 16 weeks depending on your vet’s protocol. Puppies join a separate puppy group focused on socialization and polite play, not large-dog rough-and-tumble. The first three days are a structured assessment at $35 per day before full puppy daycare pricing kicks in.

What about kennel cough?

Bordetella vaccination significantly reduces the risk but does not eliminate it - kennel cough is essentially a dog cold, and it spreads anywhere dogs gather. If a case appears we notify all clients whose dog overlapped and follow Denver Department of Public Health and Environment guidance. We have a strict policy of sending home any dog showing symptoms.

Do you take reactive or anxious dogs?

Not for group daycare. Forcing a reactive or anxious dog into group play is stressful for them and unsafe for the rest of the group. We can refer you to qualified one-on-one daycare providers and trainers in Denver who specialize in those cases.

Can I tour the facility before I commit?

Yes. Tours are during quieter mid-afternoon hours by appointment so we can show you the play yards, sleeping areas, and webcam setup without disrupting the dogs. We will not ask you to sign anything during the tour.
